Genetic Algorithm Approach for Image Fusion: A Simple Method and Block Method

The sensors available nowadays are not generating images of all objects in a scene with the same clarity at various distances. progress sensor technology improved quality over recent years. However, target data generated by single image is limited. For merging information from multiple input images, fusion used. basis on acquisition as well level processing and under this many techniques available. Several such multisensor, multifocus, multitemporal. Also, performed four different stages. These levels signal, pixel level, feature, decision-making. Further, methods divided into two domains i.e spatial frequency domains. domain uses inputs directly to work pixels, while transition refers before fusion. limitation spectral degradation. To overcome limitation, transform preferred which several transforms. results superior methods. But there scope improve or find optimized results. Optimization can be achieved using evolutionary approaches. computation approach an effective way finding required solution for complex problem. An algorithm guided random search used optimization. biological model evolution natural selection inspires it. types computing algorithms include Genetic algorithm, Programming, Evolutionary programming, Learning Classifier System, Ant Colony Optimization, Artificial Bee Particle Swarm Evolution strategy, intelligence, Tabu Search, Cuckoo etc. Three genetic algorithm-based proposed: one population, separate populations, block method. In method, array numbers chromosome generated. result obtained proposed compared existing observed that improved. graphical representation performance parameters reflects method better.
